Pierro's Jewelers is proud to be one of the few jewelers in the area that has invested in the latest laser welding technology from LaserStar^® Technologies.

What exactly is LaserStar^® welding technologies?  LaserStar^® is a state-of-the-art laser welding system that enables jewelry repair technicians at Pierro's Jewelry to affect repairs that were extremely difficult or even impossible using conventional jewelry repair technologies.

LASER is an acronym for "Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation" which produces a sharp, focused light beam that melts a very small area of metal.  The benefit of this technology is that very little heat is generated at the weld point, allowing our repair technicians to easily weld .5 to 1.0mm (.020" - .040") away from the most complicated and intricate component parts without damaging heat sensitive materials.  Operators hold parts in their hands while viewing the application through a stereo-microscope in the welding chamber.  Internal cross-hair allows the operator to easily align and weld the parts at the correct location.
