Ralph Pierro began his career in Philadelphia,
going to watch maker school. He continued his education by working for five years in a jewelry store before moving
to Florida in 1951. Shortly after moving to Florida, Mr. Pierro opened his first store, which consisted of a five
foot watch case. Ralph became a Certified Registered Jeweler in 1967 and then became an American Gemological
Society Certified Gemologist in 1972. Mr. Pierro takes great pride in having taught many apprentices the trade
of watch making and jewelry repair. As the patriarch and visionary of Pierro's Jewelry, Ralph Pierro was the president
of the Florida State Jewelers for two terms.

Pierro is best known as the man who discovered the
effects of chlorine on the alloys that are mixed with gold which result is stress cracks or damaged jewelry.
As a result of this discovery, Mr. Pierro was published on the front cover of several nationally recognized jewelry magazines
and journels.
Through the years of building, educating and maintaining his prosperous business, Ralph Pierro has
never lost his vision of the finest jewelry store through knowledge, experience and integrity.
In 1990, Ralph Pierro transferred the day-to-day operations of Pierro's Jewelry
to his son, Ron Pierro. Ron Pierro continues his father's commitment to the jewelry business and will carry on the
vision of Mr. Ralph Pierro well into the future.
